Healthy dieting by Havard

New diets regarding weight loss are invented daily. Some work, some will give you a hard time. You have to know that if you plan on remaining healthy and slim for a long, long time you should follow a weight loss diet that will keep you in shape and won't get you slim in a week. Losing weight in a week will surely make you weak. Losing weight properly is a long, hard process. Losing weight is about your needs. You'll have to balance your diet so that you consume proteins, carbs, vitamins and fibers. These provide energy and other important parts; they will keep your body healthy as well as your brain. Weight loss diets that are low on fat or carbs will get you slim fast, but as fast as you lost the extra pounds you will put them back on. Needless to say that you'll probably get sick and gain more weight than you first intended to lose. This will only lead you to malnutrition, which could, in some case, lead to death. All body processes must function normally through your weight losing process, so take your time in order to remain healthy. Don't start a weight losing diet on your own; it's better to consult a nutritionist that will choose the best one for you, after establishing what fits you best. There are quite a lot of examples of people who, in the process of loosing weight, became living dead because of all the energy loss caused by malnutrition. Other side effects of bad weight losing diets are: depression, fatigue, muscle atrophy, fainting, dehydration (it's wrong to think that drinking more water will keep you hydrated, you have to eat vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, melons, white cabbage), not to mention the continuous hunger. If you hunger yourself you won't lose weight faster. You'll just get anemic. So better eat four times a day, portions that fit into your hands, not bigger, a little bit of everything. That doesn't mean you can eat French fries with mayonnaise. You'll start to lose weight slow but effective.

Don't skip breakfast (the most important meal of the day) and lunch. You can skip those big portions you had for dinner before and replace them with low-fat cheese and tomatoes with basil. You'll surely start to lose weight just by doing this.

As tempting as they might sound, those "miracle" weight-loss pills won't do the trick. There hasn't been a pill invented that will make you lose weight and keep you healthy.

Don't diet without working out. Losing weight is as much about eating healthy as exercising. It's up to you whether you visit the gym, go to the swimming pool, jog or just take long walks daily. Any kind of working out method is good. Also you might want to check out the Food Guide Pyramid. Grains, veggies, fruits, fats and oils, milk, meat, beans, fish, they all have to be included in your weight loss diet. A little bit of everything, if not daily then as often as you can. If you want to, you can grow your own "greens". It's healthier rather then buying them from the market where only the best-looking ones are for sale. Natural grown veggies are not perfect. The uglier the veggies, they healthier they are.

So remember, if you want to loose weight effectively, don't starve yourself; you'll end up having nightmares, that is, if you will be able too sleep.
